Parkade security after normal operating hours requires controlled access to the parking space area. Credit card size coded access cards are normally the item used by individuals accessing these parking areas during these restricted time periods. Card readers are required to scan these access cards to allow vehicles to gain entry into the parkade. These card readers are usually located in a pedestal stand alongside the driving lane that enters the parkade area.
